Addressing Castle Xyntillan Problems, Part 1

These are the questions I’ve had from Castle Xyntillan that are not addressed within the book itself, to my knowledge.

CX says that it is compatible with Swords and Wizardry, so I’ll reference that when it makes sense to.

Some items appear to be treasure but do not have a GP value

Examples: a silk bag and some mahogany bookcases.

What is a “space” in inventory?

“The orb is very heavy and using its power is a heavy burden, taking up all but two spaces in the inventory.” (A9: statue of the king.)

I’m going to assume this is referring to a common house rule by which inventory is divided into slots. I’ll guess that each slot holds roughly the weight of 100 coins. Since BX halts movement at 1,600 coins of weight, the orb weighs 1,400 coins. Anyone who holds it has a movement rate of 30’(10’).
