# Fantasy Film and TV Recommendations from the OSR Discord

These are listed in the order they were submitted.
## Mine
- Conan the Barbarian (barely makes my cut)
- Northman
- Double King (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_MSFkZHNi4)
- Pan's Labyrinth
- The Green Knight
- The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (I mostly didn't enjoy this jumble, but it's worth seeing for all the weird ideas.)
- Time Bandits (see above)
- Pirates of the Caribbean series (Yes, all of them. The worst of them is still pretty okay, just not as good as the first.)
- Pinocchio (2019)
- Stardust
- The Neverending Story
- The Dark Crystal (movie and series)
- Adventure Time
- Arcane
- Every fantasy Ghibli except Earthsea
- The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (but you knew that.)
## Fel Flavored Edit Prompter's

- The Vision of Escaflowne
## Gin Bradbury's

- Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas
- The Beatles Yellow Submarine
- Event Horizon
- Thundarr the Barbarian
- EXO Squad
- The Centurions
- Skeleton Warriors
- The Pirates of Dark Water
## firetarrasque's
- Babylon 5, but specifically the episode of Babylon 5 with the technomages in it. Every space odyssey story could benefit from technomages. So could most fantasy stories.
- Record of the Lodoss War (Amazing story where nothing happens.)
- Krull
- The Princess Bride somehow isn’t on the list already???
## Sullytames'
- Legend (1985) - Thin on plot and character but drop dear gorgeous
- Jabberwocky - my personal fav Gilliam film, mudcore fantasy comedy
- Gretel and Hansel - Oz Perkins does Dark Fantasy on a low budget. Mixed bag but some cool witchy moments.
- The Descent - A group of women go caving and run into goblins
- The Head Hunter - Ultra-low budget fantasy horror. Looks and feels like an overambitious student film, which can be a positive or a negative.
- Son of the White Mare - gorgeous animated folk tale from Hungary. Completely unique and visually inventive.
- Primal - a pulpy animated serial about a caveman and his T-Rex bestie. Goes incredibly hard.
- Black Angel (1980) - A dark fantasy short film that screened theatrically prior to showings of Empire Strikes Back.
